Dr. Randy Tobler's BIO

Dr. Randy Tobler is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in practice for 15 years. He has a passion for teaching...patients, doctors in training, and the public. Trained at Washington University, he is on the clinical faculties of Washington University and St. Louis University Schools of Medicine. He has won resident research and teaching awards, and has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America” by his peers. He was named one of St. Louis’ “Medical Marvels” in St. Louis Magazine.

He has special professional interests in nutrition and fitness, reproductive endocrinology and menopause, continuously emphasizing a holistic approach. Personalized patient care is his trademark, blending the best of alternative, complementary and mainstream approaches to provide the very best strategy. He currently serves on several medical advisory and editorial panels.

Dr. Tobler lectures frequently on pragmatic nutrition, fitness and wellness in the context of integrative medicine. He regularly appears on St. Louis television and radio broadcasts, and hosts the provocative weekly wellness program, “Vital Signs”. Disseminating eclectic and credible health information in a humorous and relaxed style is one of his greatest passions. A self-professed media “junkie”, his latest radio project is “Talk Back St. Louis”, a 4 hour weekly current events call-in format.

Dr. “T”, as his patients often call him, has performed as an instrumentalist since age 13, including Broadway shows, headline acts, national tours and local repertory. Music has always been one of his interests and continues as a special joy.

A father of three and husband of 23 years, Dr. Tobler credits his wife Heliene and children Sean, Shannon and Samantha for sustaining him through the trials of a serious illness in 1997. Their support and love, coupled with a deep faith that matured during that time, serve as a constant reminder of the importance of perspective and commitment in life’s passage.
